Family Case Management
Family Case Management is a statewide program funded by the Department of Human services. The goals are to reduce the rate of infant mortality, promote wellness and healthy lifestyles in pregnant women and children up to the age of 2 years.

Case Management services include: supportive personal contact, health education, assessment of needs, referral to other social service agencies and medical services.

Free pregnancy testing is offered during clinic hours only. If a pregnant woman qualifies, we will complete an application for a temporary medical card. She will then be referred to the Department of Human Services for ongoing medical assistance or we will assist her in completing a Kid Care application.

Kid Care
The Henderson County Health Department is a Kid Care Application agent for the Illinois Kid Care Health Insurance Program. This service provides assistance with completing the application and sending it to the state of Illinois.

Pre-natal High Risk Visits
Physicians and hospitals refer infants deemed at high risk to the health department. These clients receive home visits, physical and developmental assessments and follow-up education on regular basis. Also available is linkage to social service agencies or health care.

Primary Care family Planning
Mothers of WIC and family Case Management children are offered free yearly women exams, STD screenings, contraceptive education and family planning services, if they do not hold a current medical card for themselves.

Healthworks Program
